Balanced Growth
I support Garden City’s balanced-growth approach. We should welcome new neighbors and new employers, without losing our character. My vision is simple: plan thoughtfully, build responsibly, and keep our small-city feel while expanding opportunity for families and businesses.
Housing Affordability & Home Ownership
It’s no secret that housing has gotten more expensive in Garden City and the Treasure Valley. We must preserve home ownership for the next generations - our kids and grandkids. Housing affordability is crucial for me. We must have a variety of housing options, catering to everyone, from entry-level homes to retiree-friendly accommodations.
I support Mayor John Evans’ balanced approach to home ownership in Garden City. We must ensure the American dream remains within reach - for my grandkids and yours. For the past 10 years, I have served as the business coach to one of the leading providers of homes that the average family can attain.
Property Tax
I am a fiscal conservative, and property tax is a very important topic. I know seniors on a fixed income are feeling the impact of a rising property tax bill, and too many feel trapped in their homes. As a City Council member I will be a good steward of taxpayer dollars and won’t take a single penny more than necessary.
Rising valuations and local costs are pushing annual tax bills faster than paychecks, especially for seniors. We must balance the budget, insist on transparency, and ensure every cent is spent wisely.
Safe Neighborhoods
I will back the Garden City Police Department, deter crime, and target the trafficking of illegal drugs. My experience walking with more than 4,000 men and women out of addiction and incarceration has taught me this: enforcement and compassion both matter. My vision is of a safer city that also prioritizes prevention, recovery, and paths back into the community.
Economic Development
Many companies want to relocate to Garden City due to our location and energy. I will partner with top commercial real estate leaders to provide businesses with a clear path from site selection to permits to opening day, featuring predictable timelines and responsive service. Garden City should be the Treasure Valley’s easiest place to do business.
Transparent Government
Good decisions start with good listening. I’ll hold regular listening sessions, publish plain-language updates on major projects, and make it easy to track progress. I want residents, small businesses, and neighborhood leaders at the table early and often.
